Skin Care routine in humid climate.

It is quite difficult to take care of the skin in humidity. Specially if you live in cities like KOLKATA, CHENNAI, MUMBAI. Climate in these places is so humid that your skin will not get to breathe. A slight moisture in the air is good for the skin. It helps to keep the skin soft and well hydrated all the time. But when the humidity and moisture in the air increases up to 50 percent in the air, then it leads to skin problems.

Your skin starts looking dark and pigmented. You feel your skin to be sweaty and sticky. This leads to breakout on the skin. Thus, it is necessary to take extra care of the skin in such a climate. So, you must take up some skincare rituals which will help your skin to stay healthy and away from skin problems.

What to do?

  • Gently wash your face
    During humidity, the face produces excess oil and sweat. This might lead to pimples on the face. Thus, wash your face for at least 2-3 times using a good cleanser to remove all the sweat oil and dirt from the face.
  • Tone your skin
    Toner helps to keep the face hydrated. Spray some toner on your face 2-3 times a day, it will also keep your skin fresh.
  • Apply oil-free moisturizer
    During the humid weather, the skin looks oily. It does not mean that you will stop applying moisturizer. During humid weather, one must apply an oil-free moisturizer. Because it is the basic requirement of your skin.
  • Scrub your skin
    Exfoliating the skin properly in humid weather does not make the skin look oily. Scrub your body and skin properly. Try to scrub your body twice a week. It will help to clean the skin pores and will make your skin clean.

  • Apply light makeup
    If you are a working women and you have to apply makeup during humid weather, apply little makeup. As too much of makeup harms the skin. It leads to pimples and breakouts on the skin. Thus, either avoid doing makeup completely or apply very light makeup. Try to use powder-based products.

  • Eat healthy
    Avoid eating oily food. Add healthy diet to your routine. Our eating habits affects our skin a lot.
